Kynan Eng

Kynan works on deep tech startups and most of this work occurs at the interface between neuroscience, engineering and human-computer interaction. Currently he is active as co-founder and CEO at iniVation (neuromorphic vision), chairman at QuantActions (digital health), and board member at iniLabs (incubator). Kynan holds degrees in computer science, applied mathematics and mechanical engineering, as well as a PhD in Neuroinformatics from ETH Zurich. He is a previous faculty member of Uni/ETH Zurich, where he ran a research group investigating neuroscience and medical applications of virtual reality.
 
Involved two years as coach in the Digital Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at UZH, advisor for Karuna VR and Educreators Foundation.

Stéphanie Engels

Stéphanie is a former Head of Corporate and Business Development for a sustainable energy future, now partner to support companies in finding and hiring the right leaders.

Stéphanie began her career in research at ETH and MIT before joining RobecoSAM, where she advised global companies on sustainability strategies. At ewz, she played a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable energy future as a member of the Management Board, leading major transformational projects, developing new digital business models like smart cities and smart homes, and fostering ecosystems with partners and start-ups. Now a partner at Signum, she helps companies recruit future-ready leaders. Stéphanie holds a Master's in Environmental Sciences, a PhD in International Relations from ETH Zürich, and an MBA from Oxford University, and has coached numerous start-ups, particularly in smart building and smart city technologies.

Andreia Fernandes

Emmi Kavander

Emmi is the founder and CEO of Kavanders & Co. Her company helps start-up founders get their businesses off the ground, with a special focus on investor readiness and pitching.

With over 15 years of international experience in sales, strategy and strategic communications, she has worked in various positions, incl. in the senior leadership of a global, stock-listed FinTech as Head of Group Communications and IR. In 2011, Emmi built a company from 0 to 50 employees in under two years. She is a co-founder and first investor in an EdTech start-up, and the founder of Kavanders & Co. She has also served on Boards at start-ups and associations. In 2023, her newest venture is being launched.
In 2022, start-up participants of accelerator MassChallenge Switzerland awarded her as a top mentor. Emmi is an alumnus of IMD and has an MBA from the University of London.

Theresa Schachner
