XP Lab stands for “Experience Lab” and provides a practice-oriented learning environment where students apply innovation and entrepreneurial methods and tools in hands-on settings.

An experiential, interdisciplinary learning environment in which you get the chance to explore innovation and entrepreneurship through hands on methods, real world challenges, and reflective practice. Designed as practice oriented modules, our XP Labs combine methodological depth with creative exploration, teamwork, and exposure to actors from the innovation and start up ecosystem. Each XP Lab can be booked separately. 

The entry point to the XP Lab Series is XP Lab Kickstart. It is open to Bachelor’s and Master’s students who are close to completing their studies as well as to PhD students from all faculties at UZH.

As part of the Minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, we offer two, more advanced experiential modules: XP Lab Innovation and XP Lab Entrepreneurship. Both XP Labs build on foundational competencies but have no prerequisites. They offer hands‑on, practice‑based learning experiences and are open to students of all study programs who wish to further develop their future-oriented skills in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. XP Lab Innovation and XP Lab Entrepreneurship are open to UZH Master`s and PhD students.
