Get initial advice and orientation in the UZH innovation ecosystem. We support UZH members with advice on the next steps for translating research results into practise, and building startups. The service is provided to students, researches and early stage startup founders.

Manuel has extensive experience in launching companies in Switzerland. He has founded three startups, including two software solutions and a social enterprise. With an educational background in communication, philosophy, and project management, Manuel offers hands-on company creation, business planning and go to market strategies.

Eva Maria Hakanson

Eva Maria has a background in engineering with a PhD from ETH Zurich. With over 10 years' experience in fostering science-based innovation she provides researchers with advice on funding and foundational validation approaches. Eva Maria is responsible for the programs UZH Innovation Grants and UZH Entrepreneur Fellowships.

Michio is trained as a scientist with a PhD in Immunology. He has a broad experience in early-stage biotech, as a founder & CEO of a therapeutics startup and as seed-stage investor. Michio not only helps teams to identify the gaps in their entrepreneurial projects but also works to build investable teams for new life science technologies.
