Blockchain Presence is a spin-off of the University of Zurich, founded in late 2020 by a group of students under the supervision of Christian Ewerhart. The project aims to create a blockchain oracle for the Ethereum platform. The decentralized application connects senders who wish to distribute information on the blockchain, and receivers who deploy their smart contracts and need access to reliable information for this purpose. Trust plays a crucial role in the successful performance of any blockchain oracle. That is why Blockchain Presence uses a three-step on-chain authentication method that renders manipulation by third parties practically impossible. The vision of Blockchain Presence is to become the most trusted and most cost-efficient channel of communication between senders and receivers of smart contract data.
