Innovators Camp 2024 – successful Social Innovators

Innovators Camp is an innovationprogram for students and researchers, that leads from idea to implementation of social innovation. Focused in 2024: Social Innovation x Digital.

Over 20 participants responded to the call «Are you motivated to make a positive social impact?» and spent six days developing digital solutions to current issues. Through this program, the UZH Innovation Hub and Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) promote interdisciplinary approaches to overcoming challenges in everyday life.

These Challenges, formulated by the City of Zurich, provided starting points for joint innovations during the camp. The participants addressed topics of Future of mobility, Food waste, fossil fuel heating, afordable housing, aging society and were accompanied by innovation coaches.

Innovators Camp is not only an enormously inspiring experience, the interdisciplinary approach is unique, bringing networking and interdisciplinary group experience among students from various universities. Design thinking methods are used to develop practical applications and prototypes, which are presented to representatives of the City of Zurich and evaluated at the end of the camp.
