UZH Spin-off OxyPrem has developed a technology specifically designed to monitor oxygen levels in premature babies. Now they are launching a crowdinvesting campaign to make the second generation of brain oxygen sensors, OxyPrem Noah, available around the world.
Every year, 10 % of children are born prematurely and are at risk of lifelong brain damage due to harmful oxygen levels in the brain. In response to urgent requests from doctors, OxyPrem has developed a revolutionary technology tailored to premature babies that monitors oxygen levels in the brain with high precision.
The reusable sensors provide medical teams with crucial data to prevent damage before it occurs. Around 38 hospitals in 12 countries already rely on the first series of devices, which were developed in 2020.
Now, the second generation of oxygen sensors for the brain, OxyPrem NOAH, is set to be launched in 2025. To make this life-saving technology available to more newborns around the world, a crowdinvesting campaign has been launched and is now open for support.
